My name is Kalmplex and I am the executive producer and director of The Healing Wisdom of Jamaica.  My independent documentary focuses on various people I met on my trip to Jamaica. From strangers I randomly met on the street, to a health food shop owner to my uncle who lives in St. Mary. The topics discussed in my film range from vegan eating, slaves from Jamaica who ended up in Canada, self love, Rastafari, black women and mother earth, homosexuals and my uncle being a migrant worker picking peaches in Canada. Some of these were interviews I conducted while others were organic conversations caught on film bridging my experience as a Canadian born Jamaican and Ghanaian with my Jamaican roots.
